Short bio about yourself: I enjoy traveling North America and learning about the cultures of my own country. I work full time and am obtaining my Masters degree in Criminal Justice so I do not have a lot to plan vacations.
Where do you live: I live in Edmonds, Washington.
Why do you travel: I enjoy exploring and seeing new things. I love being enjoying various types of weather, food, and music.
Were you nervous letting someone else plan a surprise destination trip:
I was a little nervous, but knowing that I could say my opinion through the survey and that Heidi enjoys traveling too, made me feel more comfortable.
Were you surprised when you found out where you were going?
I was pleasantly surprised! I always wanted to go to Albuquerque, NM and couldn’t wait to be there once I opened the envelope.
Did you enjoy opening the next day’s itinerary the night before? Or do you wish you knew what you were doing at the very beginning of your trip?
Waiting to open the very first envelope was brutal, I realized how much I hate surprises when I know they exist. however, when we were there I enjoyed the surprise every night and it was a great conversation starter. We liked spending the time opening the envelopes and smiling in approval. If there was something we weren’t interested it was easy to switch the activity.
What was your favorite part of the trip:
I have a few favorite parts of my trip. I loved going to the aquarium. They have sea turtles, blowfish, sharks, and even sting rays! My other favorite part was the surprise hot air balloon trip. It was really peaceful and I liked seeing the view of Albuquerque from high above.
Was there anything you would change:
I liked how everything worked out. We liked all the pre-paid events and the ones that we not pre-paid we could change up which was nice.
Would you let Heidi plan a trip for you again?
Yes! It is nice being able to take traveling off your load and allow someone else to do the hard parts for you. I may not be a fan of suspense but it was definitely worth it in the end. My boyfriend loved every part of it too. We recommend this to anyone and everyone.
