I can’t believe how fast time flies! This time 2 months ago, my husband and I were in Arizona celebrating our first wedding anniversary. We got to fly out of our new local airport that is only 20 minutes from our house, go to a Diamondbacks vs. Dodgers baseball game, and play some Top Golf.
Prior to heading to Arizona, I made sure to do some research on cool spots for photos in Phoenix and Scottsdale if you missed my post from Nashville, be sure to check that out here.
Anyway, I braved the 110 degree (F) weather for you to show you some pretty cool spots
The Churchill Murals
901 N 1st St, Phoenix, AZ 85004
There are actually a bunch of murals painted all around this container compound. There are about 8 containers that have different souvenir, food and drink spots. I was a little bummed that a few spots I wanted to go were closed and being remodeled. It is definitely a cool spot to check out for a drink and to check out the murals.
The Blue Cactus
Head to the bathroom at The Churchill and you will find it. You definitely need a wide angle lens to get this as the concrete wall across from the bathrooms don’t leave you much room for taking photos. We had to be a bit strategic – even with my wide lens.
Cactus & Rose
Walk around the back of The Churchill and you will see this cool spot!
Full Street Art
Continue not 10 steps further and you will see a full long street full of different abstract art.

Right across the street from Arizona Wilderness DTPX are a bunch of murals. I picked two of my favorites

Biltmore Fashion Park

Check out Kelsey Montague’s Instagram! You will immediately fall in love with her creative murals that are also industry breaking. (she did the Nashville wings) I have made it a point this year to search out her murals wherever I go! I found another one at the Biltmore Fashion park right in the front of the mall!
Hotel Photos

We changed hotels last minute and decided to spend a bit more per night for a nice resort. This resort has been around for a long time! Don’t forget that your hotel can have some really cool photo spots! With a bit of editing, my photos from the Biltmore really transformed!
Hotel Valley Ho
6850 E Main St, Scottsdale, AZ 85251
I try and be as creative as possible. Though my social media may include photos from spots that everyone else has taken photos at, I try and keep my photos fresh by using my creativity. I found this cool spot at Hotel Valley Ho – a boutique hotel that definitely has a 50’s vibe (which I love!)
Desert Botanical Gardens
1201 N Galvin Pkwy, Phoenix, AZ 85008
This was my FAVORITE spot from the whole trip! You can’t beat a ton of varieties of succulents in the middle of the desert! The only downside is that we couldn’t make it more than 45 minutes in the heat with absolutely no breeze! However, we managed to take a bunch of great photos!
We were only in Arizona for about 3 days and did a lot in those 3 days. This flight is only a quick 2.5 hours away so we may be back in the future. What spots do you recommend we check out next time? Leave it in the comments!
